Panel Work Pant Performance Workwear / Personal Project, 2025 Product Story Built from rugged 14 oz cotton denim, the Panel Work Pant delivers industrial-grade durability without sacrificing street aesthetics. Articulated knee and thigh panels remove tension points, letting the fabric bend naturally whether you’re setting up a shoot or skating to class. Both colorways—stealth Black-out and heritage Indigo—feature understated black floral embroidery that traces the back yoke and pocket edges, rewarding a closer look. By marrying tactical construction with a quiet hit of artistry, the design reframes what functional workwear can feel like. My Contribution Concept & Sketching – Ideated silhouette, drafted hand sketches, and refined line art in Illustrator. Material Sourcing – Selected 14 oz selvedge-look denim for strength, drape, and wash sourced tonal embroidery threads. Pattern & Fit Development – Mapped ergonomic panel placements, adjusted rise and leg shape through three fit rounds. Tech Pack Creation – Authored a 12-page tech pack detailing specs, graded measurements, stitching diagrams, BOM, and embroidery placement. Manufacturer Collaboration – Negotiated MOQ and timelines with overseas factory, coordinated sample yardage, and managed two prototyping cycles (Black-out & Indigo). Sample Evaluation – Led fit sessions, photographed wear-tests, and delivered annotated revisions to the factory until final approval. Result Two production-ready samples that balance mobility, durability, and a refined visual signature—setting the stage for a small-batch release or brand collaboration.
